Terms and Conditions

It is important that all clients read this carefully before booking a model/performer.

Bookings
As required by the Dept. of Employment regulation - the CARSTINGS booking form containing the terms of the booking must be signed and returned by the client.
Photographic fees are charged to the client by the day , or by the hour. A day booking is for an 8 hour period including 1 hour lunch. Unless otherwise agreed the minimum booking is for 2 hours. Clients can sometimes give only 24 hours notice for castings. Casting fees will be charged to the client.

Permitted Use
Booking fees, in general, cover the right to use one image for one year from the date of booking, in the UK only, for the initial permitted use.

Fittings
Fees for fittings are charged to the client at half the hourly rate with a minimum of £25 per hour.

Overtime
Overtime rates apply between 0900hrs and 1800hrs and on all bookings longer than 8 hours. Between 1800hrs and midnight the rate is 150% of the normal daily rate and between midnight and 0900hrs overtime is negotiable

Provisional Bookings
These will be cancelled if they are not confirmed by the client within 24 hours of the proposed booking or if a definite booking is offered and the provisional booking cannot be confirmed.

Cancellations
If a booking is cancelled by the client within 1 working day of the start time the full fee is charged unless the same model/performer is re-booked by the same client, in which case 50% of the fee is charged. If a booking is cancelled outside the one day period but within two working days of the start time, then 50% of the fee will be charged. Bookings of more than three days duration: should the booking be cancelled within a period equal to the length of the booking, then the full fee is charged. Saturdays, Sundays and all Bank holidays are excluded from these cancellations.

Mixed Agency Bookings
If CARSTINGS models/performers are working on the same assignment as model/performers from other agencies and taking part in the same task/role CARSTINGS reserves the right to charge the client the same rate as the other agencies.

Weather
If a booking is cancelled due to weather conditions, 50% of the agreed rate will be charged, however, should the client fail to cancel in time to prevent the models/performers arriving at the booking then the full fee will be charged. If the booking is 'weather permitting', this must be made clear at the time the booking is made.

Travel
Travel will be charged at half the hourly rate of the booking.

Meals
The client is responsible for all of the model's/performer's meals on bookings.

Videos
The normal daily rates will apply for all videos plus a buy-out to be negotiated.

Fashion Shows
Payment of the agreed fee grants the right to make use of the model's services on the catwalk for the show specified in the booking and the right to use photographs and videos of the show for reporting purposes only.

Exclusion Fees
A special fee will be negotiated when the work being undertaken is in conjunction with a product which preludes for competing products. It is the client's responsibilty to check whether conflicting work has been undertaken. If a model advertises a product, they are able to work for any competitor unless and exclusion fee has been negotiated and agreed.
